Christine is our specialist wedding florist at The Flower Box has done 1000’s of weddings over the last 40 years that we have been in business. However she thoroughly enjoyed working with Katie and Glen to make there day extra special. This Wedding included well over 4000 stems of flowers! Including Hyrandeas, Peonies, Roses, lisianthus and many more. Katie and Glen wanted the flowers to include peaches, whites and light blues to go perfectly with the grooms suit and the wonderful brides made dresses. The photo below shows the flowers coming in to our warehouse the Wednesday before the wedding so we could condition and prepare every stem to look there best the following Saturday.
Once the flowers had been conditioned and prepared it was time for Christine and the team to work on the floral swags down the isle of the Rockliffe Hall. Christine and the team went the day before to set up the venue including fixing the floral foam to all of the 12 poles in the orangery and the main staircase in the building. 250+ tie-raps later the floral foam was ready to be to be arranged using the light blue delphiniums and hydrangeas that went perfectly with the sweet avalanche and white avalanche roses.
Once these had been completed it was time to turn our attention to the floral arch for the isle and behind the top table, The table pieces and the brides bouquets. The arch used the same flower combinations as the floral swags however more concentrated with flowers. The table arrangements were created on glass cake stands and designed using the tall blue delphiniums and using the same colour scheme throughout to create 8 identical arrangements.
We think the combinations of colours and flowers have worked perfectly with each other and it truly looks like a summer wedding. We can’t wait to see some more pictures once they are ready from the talented Andrew Billington. Congratulations Katie & Glen. From The Flower Box Team.
